Is it safe to buy things here?
This site just aggregates items which are already for sale on eBay in an easy-to-navigate way.
You're not buying anything from us; you're buying it from a seller
on eBay. Ebay's a secure place to buy items and there's added protection when
you use PayPal.
Why do you have such
a limited range?
The choices here are based on experience of stuff that works in a digital storytelling workshop.
What's in it for you?
I get to help people who are setting up and running DS projects to find things they need at the lowest price. I can signpost discontinued equipment bargains. This is an
area of work that I love. I can make it easier for DS enthusiasts to find much-loved yet
hard-to-find equipment. This website is financially sustainable because,
when someone clicks through and buys something from eBay, a small commission is
paid by eBay's agents, Commission Junction.
How did you build this
site?
I used a two pieces of software one is WordPress
and the other is called
Build A Niche Store which made it easier for me to present things in this
way.
PC or Mac?
If you're starting up - Mac. If you're using existing equipment or are making a choice based on local popularity, PC's fine.
Why only portable voice recorders?
This is an exciting field that's developed since 2005. We used to use USB audio interfaces to record sound, now we can use portable kit and it's been liberating. Microtrack and Edirol R-09 are two excellent recorders.
Why don't you include equipment or software X?
Please let me know so I can consider it for inclusion.
